Project Management is NOT Rocket Science (lets get that out of the way in the beginning itself). A lot of project management practitioners wonder if there was a "Secret Recipe" to successfully managing a project? Asking this question is like asking, "What Do Women Want?" Is there anyone who can claim to know that? HAHAHA
Similar to the effort of trying to keep the women in your life happy, Project Management also is a Hit-n-Trial process; a process of applying your talent, skills, knowledge, tools & techniques to those planned activities that you know will help achieve your predefined project objectives.
If one is to draw a comparison between 'Trying to Manage a Project' and 'Trying to Manage the Women in your Life', you will notice that it boils down to the following basics:
1. Apply Common Sense to your project while managing it (goes for the women in your life also);
2.
Bottom line, since each project (women) is unique in it's (her) nature and needs you to be patient enough to understand and spend time with it (her); there is no "Secret Ready-to-Use Recipe" to successfully managing it (her). Each project (women) needs for you to make an effort to figure out what works best for it (her).
Just remember; once you figure out the way, do not make the mistake of trying to blindly repeat it on the next one (like one would tend to do with a scientific formula). Go back to basics (point 1) because in the simplest of words; Project Management is nothing but the 'Application of Common Sense' (The fact that common sense is not common in today's world is a completely different topic altogether).
